Entertainment Tonight entrevisto a varias personalidades que hablan de lo que significa la muerte del rey del pop Michael Jackson:

Liza Minnelli says: “He was a kind, genuine, and wonderful man. He was also one of the greatest entertainers that ever lived. I loved him very much and I will miss him every remaining day of my life.”

“The news of the passing of Michael Jackson comes as a heartbreaking shock for me,” says Dionne Warwick. “Michael was a friend and undoubtedly one of the world’s greatest entertainers that i fortunately had the pleasure of working with. … he will live on in my memory and most definitely through the music he shared with so many.”

“Today, the world has lost one of the most influential and iconic figures in the music industry,” Calif. Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. “Maria and I join all Californians in expressing our shock and sadness over his death and our hearts go out the Jackson family, Michael’s children and to his fans worldwide.”


“I am so grateful to have worked with the King,” says will.i.am. “He was a gift to the world, he is a bright light and I wouldn’t be surprised if the world stopped spinning tomorrow.”

“I knew Michael as a child and watched him grow over the years,” Dick Clark says. “Of all the thousands of entertainers I have worked with, Michael was THE most outstanding. Many have tried and will try to copy him, but his talent will never be matched. He was truly one-of-a-kind.”

“It is always hard to lose a friend,” Smokey Robinson tells ET. “I will miss Michael and all that he brought to the world through his music and his creative genius. I know his legend will live on and the world will miss him dearly.”

“I am deeply shocked and saddened to hear about the sudden death of Michael Jackson,” Akon says. “He is a musical icon. I have always said to myself that the top would be working with Michael and last year when I got the chance to work with him, I was completely humbled. Whitney Houston also commented telling ET, “I am full of grief.”

“I knew Michael very well,” Donald Trump says. “He was a special guy. He was with me many times. So many unbelievable weekends took place with Michael, especially in Palm Beach, Florida.”

“He was all excited about his comeback, he adds. “It didn’t take place until next July and it was sold out, he was telling me it sold out everywhere.”

In addition to his music, Trump says M.J. was always there to lend a helping hand. “Michael did a lot for charity and if I ever needed him…he’d always be there.”

“I can’t stop crying, this is too sudden and shocking,” Diana Ross says in a statement. “I am unable to imagine this. My heart is hurting. I am in prayer for his kids and the family.”

‘I am shocked and saddened by Michael’s passing,” Tina Turner says. “I, along with his millions of fans, looked forward to seeing him tour one more time. Now, may he rest in peace.”
