“Vamos a hablar de Gaza” , canta y reclama la artista estadounidense Alicia Keys en el tema inédito que ha estrenado hoy a través de su cuenta oficial en Facebook y que lleva por título “We are here” .
La canción trata, según explica, de una reflexión existencialista sobre el propósito de la vida humana, de la suya en particular y de la de todos los habitantes del planeta en general, abordando cuestiones como la necesidad de una sanidad pública, que recorte el avance de enfermedades como el sida, la malaria o el ébola.

“Tengo una visión que creo que es algo más que un sueño, que sé que puede ser nuestra realidad” , afirma Keys, que actualmente se encuentra embarazada de su segundo hijo, de su relación con su pareja, el productor y rapero Swizz Beatz.
En el discurso que acompaña “We are here” , defiende la cooperación entre naciones y la fundación de una comunidad basada en la educación, en una justicia “renovada” y en la igualdad, sin discriminaciones por cuestiones de raza, religión, orientación sexual, género o “código postal” .
“Es hora de acabar con todas las formas de injusticia racial para nuestros hermanos y hermanas negros y para toda la gente de color” , reclama la intérprete de “No one” , que pide además el final de las corporaciones que se lucran con sus servicios a prisiones de Estados Unidos y perpetúan la idea de que el encarcelamiento es la fórmula idónea en casos derivados de la mendicidad o la adicción a las drogas.
En su lista de peticiones, afirma creer también en una ley sobre armas basada en el “sentido común” que sirva para proteger a la sociedad de la “violencia innecesaria” .
Según ha informado su discográfica, “We are here” es un “regalo” de Keys para sus seguidores y ni está oficialmente vinculado a un próximo lanzamiento ni está previsto que se ponga a la venta.
Ganadora de 15 Grammys, la artista publicó su último disco de estudio en 2012, “Girl on fire” , que sucedía a “Songs in A Minor” (2001) , “The diary of Alicia Keys” (2003) , “As I am” (2007) y “The element of freedom” (2009) .
