Como cada año, la revista Time elige a una personalidad para ser el Hombre del Año, en esta ocacion este honor fue para 3 personas, el Matrimonio de Bill y Merlinda Gates y el cantante Bono por su labor altruista, la revista los llama “Los Buenos Samaritanos”
